OK, my birthday was back in April.
In case you'd like to get a head start on shopping, it's April 20th to be exact.
So, on April 8th, almost exactly 6 months ago, Deena and I sat down and ordered my birthday present...from Scotland.
Now, I honestly feel a lot like a kid on Christmas eve, waiting by the TV to see if there are any news updates on the present potential location of Santa.
That's because, after waiting over 13,824,000 seconds past my birthday for my present to be created (at the expense of an unlucky highland goat) and then shipped, I now know that my gift is in a plane, heading this way, somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a nut about books.
I love them.
On a side note, I'm also a Christmas nut.
I collect elves.

Without question, the greatest book I've ever read is the Bible.
I'm not just saying that. I honestly actually mean it.
While you'll never hear me joining in the "my translation of the Bible is better than yours" battles (I feel that, unless one can read Greek and Hebrew, one should opt for the respected English translation that speaks to them the most clearly), my strong personal preference is for the updated 2007 version of the ESV.
So, all that being said, sometime in the next few days, I'll be the humble owner of a:

Thanks Deena!!!!!!
Happy Birthday to me!
